Worth doing. On iPhone, notifications only work after this step. Without it a cancelled game will not buzz your phone.

Not installing is fine — everything works in a browser. What you lose is notifications, which on iPhone only work once the app is on your home screen.
The answer to “where do we have to be?”
Most of what a parent needs from a baseball club is one sentence long, and it is usually buried in a group text from Tuesday. This puts it at the top of the screen.
The next thing, first
Open the app and the top of the screen is the next game or practice: when, where, when to arrive, and a tap to say whether your player is coming.
One place instead of four
Schedule, coach's notes, final score and roster together — not a group text, an email chain and a league website that disagree with each other.
It tells you when things change
A cancelled game or a moved field buzzes your phone, with the reason. Standing at an empty field in the rain is the thing this exists to prevent.
